The preview night will include a Virtual Tour of the Grand National and a preview of the three days racing by a panel of experts including Grand National winning trainer, Oliver Sherwood, the most successful female jockey in Grand National history, Katie Walsh, with two more leading racing personalities to be announced as panellists in due course. The preview night will be hosted by Aintree’s racing presenter, Gordon Brown.
The preview night is strictly limited to 500 people and is available to ticket bookers of the Racing Breaks Grand National Thursday package. The preview night will start with expert panellists talking through footage of last year’s heroic victory by One for Arthur. The preview to the three days will then be split into two sections with panellists focussing on racing on Grand National Thursday, 12 April and Ladies Day, Friday 13 April in the first section, and Grand National Day, Saturday 14 April in the second half of the evening.
Parking will be available and racegoers will be guided onto and throughout the racecourse by Aintree’s Racemakers.
On arrival, guests will enjoy music from a local band and take in video footage of previous Grand Nationals, including Red Red Rum’s 1977 victory, Aldaniti’s 1981 success and last year’s triumph by One for Arthur.
John Baker, Managing Director of Aintree Racecourse, said: “Racing is and always will be at the centre of the Randox Health Grand National Festival so we’re delighted to be able to offer this fantastic preview night to three days of top class racing for Racing Breaks Grand National Thursday bookers. It will be the first opportunity for racegoers to see Aintree Racecourse fully set for The Randox Health Grand National Festival, so this will be a unique experience for 500 people. Aside from that, there will be an exciting and interesting Grand National virtual tour with insight by racing experts such as Oliver Sherwood and Katie Walsh as well as an informative and engaging preview night looking ahead to the Festival.
”This is an exclusive offer for 500 people only, so I’d urge people to snap them up quickly!”
