Access Requirements
Bookings can be taken now. When making your booking, please inform our sales advisors of any access requirements you have so that we can advise you on the best enclosure choice, or view our access requirements page.

Accommodation
No visit to the Randox Health Grand National Festival is complete without a stay in this vibrant region. The Tourist Board for the Liverpool City Region offer a free accommodation search and booking service to assist you in planning your stay. Car parking
There is limited car parking for a fee at the racecourse. The easiest way of reaching Aintree is by rail, with Aintree Station directly opposite the racecourse. Limited on-course parking is available for the Grand National meeting. To purchase a parking pass please call 0344 579 3001.

Buses, taxis, private hire and trains all operate to Aintree and special arrangements have been made for them. Please contact the racecourse for more information on these services.

Course walking
Don’t miss the opportunity to walk the famous course during your visit [subject to ground conditions]. See some of the famous fences and really appreciate the challenge that is the Grand National course. Give yourself plenty of time and everyone needs to be off the racecourse 1 hour prior to the 1st race. N.B. Full walk not available to Steeplechase ticket holders.

Location
Aintree Racecourse is located on the A59, just one mile from the M57 and M58, which link the M62 and M6. For more info visit our directions page.

Picnics
Food and drink cannot be brought onto the racecourse and will be confiscated by security staff upon arrival. Aintree has a wide range of food and drink concessions on offer in all enclosures. Picnics can only be consumed in the parking areas.

Opening times
Gates open at 11am on Grand Opening Day (Thursday 6 April 2017), at 10.30am on Ladies Day (Friday 7 April 2017) and at 10am on Grand National Day (Saturday 8 April 2017). Get to Aintree early to make the most of your day and also to allow for racecourse security procedures.

Dress code
Although there is no official dress code, smart is preferable and is often adopted. Aintree is a spectacle of colour for all three days of the festival, with many using their trip as an opportunity to showcase their favourite raceday outfits. Hats are optional too, but are frequently worn. Sports clothes and fancy dresses are not permitted for the Grand National meeting. For more information, click here.

Seating
Limited seating is available around the racecourse. If you would prefer to be seated for most of the day, it is advisable that you purchase a seat for viewing in advance in one of our grandstands or in the West Tip Seats.

Children Tickets

Children require a ticket for entry to the racecourse.  Child tickets can be obtained upon the purchase of a full paid adult ticket by calling 0344 579 3001 and quoting your order number (no further booking fees are applied). Child tickets are capped to a maximum of 200 for each day.

The following concessions are available:

Grand Opening Day (Thursday 6 April 2017) and Ladies Day (Friday 7 April 2017): children aged 17 and under  will be free of charge for admission to the Festival Zone.

Grand National Day (Saturday 8 April 2017): children aged 17 and under  will be charged £35 for admission to the Festival Zone and are Free of Charge for entry to the Steeplechase Enclosure.

Please note: children’s admissions will be restricted to 2 per adult ticket sold.

Group Discounts

Group discounts are no longer available.

Upgrades

Upgrades on your ticket may be available on the day, subject to availability, but we advise you to buy your tickets or badges in advance to avoid disappointment.

WiFi

All racegoers at the Randox Health Grand National Festival will be able to access our free WiFi. Simply select ‘Free Jockey Club WiFi’ in your settings and follow the directions on the screen.
